Enterprise Support’s data center is one of the few facilities in Victoria, Australia, built with redundant power (2 substations) , redundant communications with fiber from multiple providers and redundant environmental equipment.
High density IT equipment stresses the power density capability of modern data centers. Installation and unmanaged proliferation of this equipment can lead to unexpected problems with power and cooling infrastructure including overheating, overloads, and loss of redundancy.
The ability to measure and predict power and cooling capability at the rack enclosure level is required to ensure predictable performance and optimize use of the physical infrastructure resource.
The Premium Zone features redundant power utility connections i.e.two distinct points of connection on two separate circuits and the ability to deploy High Density IT equipment.
Every major component is IP addressable and feeds ‘real-time’ information on rack temperature (front and back across multiple positions in each rack), humidity, power consumption and power capacity, to a central, remotely accessed management dashboard.
Customer staff can monitor the entire environment remotely and only need to visit the data centre for routine maintenance or scheduled upgrades.
Customers can set threshold alerts that send messages via SMS or email when conditions change - through a range of categories from ‘Routine’ up to a ‘Critical Alert’
